Double Arsenal Injury Boost Confirmed By Mikel Arteta With Stars Available For Champions League Return

Double Arsenal injury boost confirmed by Mikel Arteta with stars available for Champions League return

Thomas Partey and Oleksandr Zinchenko could make returns when Arsenal take on Sporting CP

Partey has been out since picking up a knock in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on 28 August, while Zinchenko suffered a calf injury in the win over Fulham on 27 August.

Both players missed the defeat to Everton last weekend, but they have now returned to training and are in contention to play in the Champions League clash against Sporting CP on Tuesday.

Partey's return is a major boost for Arsenal, as he is a key player in their midfield.

He missed the match against Everton, though, and his absence was felt. The Gunners labored in midfield against the Toffees and were unable to create many chances.

With Partey back in the team, Arsenal will be hoping to control the game against Sporting CP and create more chances for their forwards.

Zinchenko's return is also a boost for Arsenal, as he is a versatile player who can play in a number of positions.

He has played at left-back, right-back, and in midfield for Arsenal this season, and his return will give Arteta more options in terms of team selection.

With Zinchenko back in the team, Arsenal will be hoping to improve their defensive record. They have conceded seven goals in their last four games, and they will need to be more solid at the back if they are to challenge for the title this season.
