NASA Sets Coverage for Starliner News Conference, Return to Earth

Briefing to Preview Post-Undocking Activities, Landing Coverage

NASA Television, NASA's website, and the agency's social media accounts will provide live coverage of post-undocking commentary and the return of the uncrewed Boeing Starliner spacecraft to Earth.

NASA and Boeing will hold a news conference at 11 a.m. EST Friday, May 12, to provide an update on the upcoming undocking and landing of the Starliner spacecraft.

NASA astronauts Josh Cassada and Sunita Williams, Kjell Lindgren of the European Space Agency (ESA) and Bob Hines will participate in the news briefing. Also speaking will be Steve Stich, commercial crew program manager at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and John Vollmer, vice president and program manager of Boeing's Commercial Crew Program.

Live coverage of the news briefing will air on NASA Television, the NASA website, and the agency's social media accounts.

Starliner's undocking from the International Space Station is scheduled for 6:36 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 14. Following undocking, Starliner will perform a series of departure burns to raise its orbit and align itself for re-entry.

Starliner's landing is targeted for 6:49 a.m. EDT Monday, May 15, at the White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico.
